Maiden Name and Mater Soap present a numbered edition of 15 printed bars of soap made by hand and hand-stamped in Red Hook, Brooklyn by Addison Walz (b. 1985, New York). The bars are double blocks of Mater's charcoal bars (made of all natural ingredients).
“This Brief Encounter,” is inspired by a line from the 1943 poem “Le Savon” (“Soap”) by the French poet Francis Ponge (1899-1988):
