Tramp art frame, early 1900s, made of hand-carved cigar box pieces, multiple coats of paint, with a heavy patina. “Tramp art” is a genre of primarily American art in which hand-carved pieces of wood, often from cigar boxes, were used to create dense geometric designs.

The items in Oglander’s collection are marked by the lives they have led.  Damage and wear, Oglander explains, are part of the object’s story, adding to their beauty. We hope this piece will be a welcome addition to your collection.
