Short chain, called a “whimsy,” early 1900s, hand-carved from a single block of wood, American. There is a small wooden ball carved inside the larger wooden ball.

Eric Oglander (b. 1987; Nashville) is an artist and collector based in Brooklyn, NY. His current collecting project, “Tihngs” is a visual compendium and retail catalogue, based on Instagram, focusing on found objects and artworks from the 19th and 20th centuries.
