Ettore Zaccari (1877-1922) was a pioneering Italian cabinetmaker. He is known for his intricately carved sculptural furniture, which has one foot in the 19th century and one in the 20th. This settee is made of carved lacquered wood with burlap strapping and a single velvet cushion that is a later, but period-correct addition. It shows signs of aging throughout.
