"Spiky and Solid" (1956), from an edition of 300, Hans Uhlmann (1900-1975, Berlin). Uhlmann was a German sculptor, printmaker, and professor at Berlin’s College of Arts. He is known for his constructivist compositions, whose abstract forms render rhythm and movement. He was arrested for passing out anti-fascist leaflets in 1932 and held in custody until 1935, his work having been labelled “degenerate.”
